The much anticipated, 16th Dance Salad Festival season in Houston
starts off with the annual film program Touring Taste of
Dance Salad Festival: Film Screening and Discussion, premiering the highlights
of the DSF 2010 performances. The event will take place on December
2, 2010 at 6:30pm, in the Brown Auditorium of Museum of Fine Arts,
Houston with a reception following.
Dance Salad Festival week of April 20 to
23, 2011 begins with
the Choreographers’ Forum, on April 20, 6:30pm, in the Brown
Auditorium of Museum of Fine Arts, Houston with a reception following.
Details on the participants will follow soon.
Three Evening Performances are scheduled on
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 21, 22 and 23, 2011
at 7:30 PM in the Wortham Center’s
Cullen Theater. Each curated performance presents a roster
of outstanding dancers and choreography from around the world.
Some of the companies that are coming to Houston exclusively for
Dance Salad Festival are Ballet National de Marseille,
France; Staatsballett Berlin, Germany; Beijing Dance/LDTX, China;
Jasmin Vardimon Company (JVC), London,
England; and many others. The most updated
information on the program will be available as soon as possible.

Throughout the week of the Festival there will also be master
classes, from intermediate to advanced level, taught by Festival
participants at diverse locations throughout the city.
